We are excited to announce that the Tulse Hill Adventure Playground is open again after undergoing important repairs over the past eight months. The children and young people are thrilled to be back in their beloved space and are looking forward to all the fun activities we have planned at the playground during the summer holidays.
The closure of the Tulse Hill Adventure Playground highlighted just how important it is to work in partnership with other local voluntary and community sector organisations. Our partnerships with Grove Adventure Playground and Big Kid Foundation at Dexter’s Adventure Playground were invaluable. Both organisations kindly shared their spaces and ran joint activities with us. Our children and young people enjoyed using this time to make new friends from across Lambeth and to participate in fun, new activities. Some highlights included taking part in musical workshops and making delicious pancakes for Pancake Day.
We were also pleased by the consistent levels of attendance during this time. From January 2024, 63 children and young people participated in our alternative activities, many returning session after session. When asked about their favourite moments, the resounding answers included going go-karting, spending time with friends and trying out different games.
With the Tulse Hill Adventure Playground now reopened, we have an exciting lineup of activities for the summer holidays. Our sessions will run Monday to Thursday 1pm –5pm and on Saturdays 12,30pm – 3.30pm. These sessions will involve themed weeks, such as Sports Week, Carnival week and will include lots of fun activities, where no day will be the same!
