On Friday 4th of December, a group of ESOL learners welcomed the High Trees team to some very special Christmas carols during their last ESOL conversation club! In accordance with COVID-19 regulations, learners wore masks throughout the whole duration of the caroling. Learners performed “Jingle Bells” and “Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer”, after having worked on the lyrics and pronunciations for the last few weeks. After their performance and as part of a lesson about British tradition, they tried Christmas crackers for the first time and had tea and mince pies.
“Thank you for everything you have done. This has been a difficult year, but today gave me much joy. I cannot wait to be back in January!”.
